Alnôbak language

The Alnôbak speak an Eastern-Algonquian language, their most close relative language vise are the Micmac and Malicite-Passamaquoddy. It is divided into two dialects, Western Abenaki and Eastern Abenaki.

The Alnôbak language is highly endangered but revitalization efforts are underway, there is an ongoing effort to preserve it and teach it in the local schools among the Penobscots.
