Anishinaabeg DNA

1

Anishinaabeg DNA is a mystery in many ways. There are two major anomalies. First, the high percentage of haplogroup R1b in their DNA. R1b is indicative of European origin as it is most numerous in western Europe. This could be explained by admixture to European hunters, traders and settlers that came to interact with Anishinaabeg groups. Many of them were from the British Isles and France were haplogroup R1b is very dominant.

More surprising however is the high amount of haplogroup X. In the table above R1b is omitted. More will come soon.
